PSA Peugeot Citroen closes bank in Russia, license annulled

MOSCOW, Feb 18 (PRIME) -- The Russian central bank has annulled the license of Bank PSA Finance RUS on request of parent holding PSA Peugeot Citroen, according to a statement of the central bank seen by PRIME on Thursday.

"The reason for annulment of the license of Bank PSA Finance RUS was an application of the credit organization sent to the Central Bank of Russia after a decision of a general meeting of shareholders on its voluntary liquidation," the authority said.

The bank, ranked 296 by assets as of February 1, has sufficient assets to satisfy creditor demands.
